the dude on the second game was very suspicious. he manage to evade 3 stasis with a perfectly timed blink, as if he knew where they were. I think he is just smart enough to do some "pretending" that he is not hacking. he knows he is wining hard, so he don't really mind loosing those templars., the fact that he also warped 2 zelots at the same time to "defend" those templars is even more suspicious. I would have send the replay to blizzard for them to figure this one out.

but it's real imba, they just push "drone" button first 6 minutes and then "lurker" button until the end. and IMO they must be slow as tanks and burrow time as sieging

Archons vs broodwar is pretty bad, as all brood war attacks do max damage vs shields (instead of 60%)

Possibly optimasation is one thing. This is gm/challanger level and sc2engine is still home field. Ive seen videos that in sc1 since there cg are limited, pathing is god awful and even building units needs strategically positioned buildings, etc... imagine how much apm a BW pro player wastes? Seems a possible edge for the BW race are unit supplies. And needs to play like a "zerg": aka don't think in countering the enemy, but how your constant resource flow can pressure your enemies. I was thinking: imagine artosis would make some mid game "proxy" buildings and just flood you from every directions. 2 supply siege tanks, goliaths with brain and vulture flanks. This reminds me, this was another weakness of Artosis: like 1 massive deathball plans. And again... in BW moving an army like that is 4-6 groups and having the muscle memories to play "dancedancerevolution" instead f2, queue up commands or do harassments. We haven't even seen drop harass. And spellcasters in SC1 seems absolutely broken when I see other streamers.

I thought I was a fraud at 3400 MMR, 0 control groups and 70 APM, but damn..... My macro is so bad I don't think I ever got to 60 drones ever. But something like a good engage and a few good orders within a fight is enough to carry you high it seems.

It's really the Stalker Blink which just destroys SC1 Terran. Because they don't have medivacs and they depend a lot more on massed Siege Tanks, but Stalkers just negate it so well. Also the lack of Marauders means that Stalkers aren't really countered. I believe SC1 Siege Tanks deal extra damage to Armored enemies? Maybe that amount needs to be increased in this mod?

The truth is that Terran in sc2 is very easy to play bio against everything and we know that bio is very cheap the medic cure charges units and has speed at no additional cost the Marin has the shield 10 more life that ability should never have existed the zealot has it only charges but on the other hand the marine shield and stimpack the zerglin Adreno and speed what balance are they talking about if the terran sc1 bio is not easy to heal the nurses get stuck in sc2 the ship that heals is very op it does 4 things with a single unit is one of the reasons why toss in sc 2 is garbage

every sc2 protoss vs bw terran i've seen has been dozens of stalkers walking straight into spider mines. Nice to see that harstem has enough brain cells to NOT do that

Is there any way to see global win rates in this mod? Feel like we could track that to see if it's even possible to balance. Get an initial win rate and then compare over time. If the win rates trend towards normalizing it's doable.

I'm just theory crafting here, but it looks like bio/tank is the best option for BW T against SC2 P? IDK I need to get this mod to play, it looks like so much fun.

I hope we get to see more of this mod when it's more fleshed out. This was a lot of fun, I watched both player's perspective (you can watch Artosis' version on his twitch channel for those who are wondering). I felt bad for Arty at the end since he felt like he exhausted his options and couldn't win, but the Captain isn't exactly an easy opponent to play, even if the game were to be balanced. One can have a lot of fun with this mod, I think playing BW vs BW would also be interesting.

SC1 Ghosts are cheap. Lockdown his stalkers, disruptors, carriers, and everything so they can't kite you. Vultures have the same problem as widow mines against SC2 Protoss in that you can get observers really fast and SC2 observers are better, though a few valkries and a science vessel and you can keep his observers away so the stalkers don't just kill all of your spider mines instantly. Optical flare helps out a lot as well. Ghosts and medics in a dropship flying around doing the optical flare the observers and then nuke combo is fun too. Seriously, SC2 Protoss mobility is too strong for terran unless you spam lockdown which is much easier to do in SC2 than in SC1 with the spell spamming mechanics so use it next time (Artosis).
